Welcome! I’m Kim (she/her), co-owner of this beautiful, inviting skin and hair care studio we call Retreat!

As a long-time city dweller and single mother of a young adult, I know how important it is to find those places where I can put myself in the capable, kind hands of another and receive much needed self-care.  It brings me great pleasure to offer my skillful, healing hands and grounding nature to you.

I bring 25+ years of experience as an esthetician, Reiki Master and certified reflexologist. I offer Skincare, Reiki, Lash and Waxing services at Retreat. I have a lifelong enthusiasm for studying and witnessing the body’s incredible ability to heal itself. My work is rooted in this knowledge. 

What many clients have expressed as the stand-out of their experience with me is that my kind, calm demeanor instantly puts them at ease. This has allowed me to forge long time relationships with many of my clients, some of which have been coming to me for over 20 years. These relationships are a beautiful and fulfilling part of practicing my craft. Although watching the transformation of someone’s skin is rewarding, witnessing all of the changes and growth in their life over the years is a special privilege that brings me a lot of joy! 

When I’m not at Retreat I enjoy listening to podcasts, taking online and in-person classes/workshops or reading books on a myriad of topics.  I’m a big fan of somatic and self-care rituals. I love recommendations for anything in the alternative wellness realm and I’m happy to share my favorites with you! I have a passion for dance and feminine embodied movement, which I’ve been practicing for 15 years at Sisters in Motion/S Factor dance studio. Wednesday, my favorite day of the week, is when I get to immerse myself in dance at the studio with an amazing group of women.  Add a visit to Kabuki Spa, a split-scoop from Salt & Straw Creamery, and about 5 episodes of one of the many spinoffs of The Walking Dead and my day is complete!
